The Boise Valley Railroad starts along the UP mainline at Nampa, ID as we follow the Boise turn job along its 25 mile route that also passes by the beautifully restored ex UP Boise Depot. Plus as an added bonus, we caught the Union Pacific 4014, a 4-8-8-4 Big Boy on its inaugural trip out of Cheyenne, WY. This train also ran as a double header with UP 844, a 4-8-4 Northern.
