This show begins with CPR 4-6-2 #1293 in October of 2003 on the Sugarcreek Train. This was the tourist train that ran several times a day on the 5-mile section between Sugarcreek and Baltic, Ohio. The train did not run much longer after this visit.

Visit the Morgan Run shop near Coshocton, and see 6325 and 1293 prep for a trip. This was on May 30, 2003, and we chase the train deadheaded from Morgan Run to Dennison. The train was towed backwards since there is no place to turn in Dennison. F-units pull the train with the steam engines trailing.

May 31, 2003 doubleheader excursion from Dennison to Newark, Ohio. We had heard this might be the last run of steam on the railroad, but we learned later that was just a rumor. It was a rainy day, but a few interesting shots were made at many locations, including at Coshocton, and Trinway. This was chased only one direction since the return was diesel.

October 12, 2003 photo special with 4-8-4 6325 on a passenger train consist with some runbys north of Sugar Creek. We had done a video of the day before (Oct 11), in a production called “6325 Freight Special”, and we shot a few scenes in the morning but never used them until now.

Our last visit was June 12, 2004, and this was a 4-legged trip. It began in Dennison with 6325 which headed west to Morgan Run. Here a runby was done with 6325 and the engine was taken off the train. 1293 was facing east so it then took the train north (There is only one connection track) to Sugar Creek. We got two fine shots of 1293 on Baltic Hill which was the first time we had captured that. Meanwhile 6325 had backed to Sugarcreek from Morgan Run, and we have shots of the engines nose to nose at Sugarcreek. There was a classic car show going on it the street of Sugar Creek, so we see some of the vintage cars, with the train in the background. Also we see some Mennonite horse and buggies in town before the train heads back south powered by 6325 once again. This was the third leg of the trip, and fourth would be F-units hauling the train the final portion to Dennison. Our final scene is north of Morgan Run as 6325 has slow orders, and passes a lovely 1957 Chevy at a crossing.

Today these and all the engines of owner Jerry Jacobson are in the Age of Steam Roundhouse in Sugarcreek, Ohio.
