This is a great video. Lots of fast moving trains on the Chicago line. Being a big fan of Chicago area I loved this DVD. C VISION has done it again!
I still think Cvision dvd's are a bit pricey for under 2 hour dvd, but get this video, you'll love it.
BNSF fans will want this for sure. Lot's of "pumpkins"
and even some amtrak!

I really enjoyed this video! I recognize a number of the locations where the filming was done. I wish when I go I see as many trains. I liked the sound of the 17 year cicadas in the background when the filming was done in Brookfield. All in all a terrific DVD, I’ve watched it a number of times already!

Windy City Rails Vol 4 BNSF Triple Track on Aurora Sub DVD

BNSF's Aurora Sub runs from Chicago through Aurora and Rochelle to Savanna on the Mississippi River. The triple tracked Racetrack hosts a large number of Amtrak and Metra commuter trains serving the line's 26 passenger stations in addition to BNSF freights to and from Galesburg and the Twin Cities, plus UP trackage rights trains. This DVD covers the line between Chicago and Aurora.

The video starts out at Union Avenue in downtown Chicago. Among other trains at the start, we see Amtrak's Lake Shore Limited waiting to be turned on the wye with a private car on the end, and 3 UP intermodal trains with the MKT, MP, DRGW, SP and WP Heritage SD70ACEs and the Salt Lake City Olympics engine. We also get to see a couple of Metra's new MP36PH-3C engines. The program then moves to BNSF's Clyde Yard (note the unusual construction on the yard connector track) at Cicero, and then on west. At Brookfield and LaGrange we are treated to some night scenes, which is unusual for railroad videos. We see some occasional CN, CSX and NS run-through power, and several BNSF predecessor paint schemes. Late into the video we see another private car, a beautifully painted Great Northern round-end observation car, on one of the Amtrak trains.

Narration is sufficient, and markers are shown one time for each location. The photography is excellent. There is some haze seen off in the distance in some scenes, but that is what you get during the warmer months in this area. This video is non-stop one train right after another. This DVD is a “Must Have” for BNSF fans and fans of the new EMD ACE and GE GEVO engines. Other family members probably will not like this video because of the continuous and sometimes slow trains, but any of them that enjoy unique classic architecture will appreciate the attention given to a couple unusual and historic municipal water towers located next to the tracks in Riverside and Western Springs, and a few of the passenger stations that are shown.
