Just received this dvd set. And while I agree with early reviewers comments regarding the mistakes made in locations, overall I think this is a very nice dvd, and worth the price. Considering the dated-content, the footage quality and camera techniques are very good. There was a bit too much of train-chasing for me, but not a big deal. They shot at numerous sites, and even some fairly-remote locations (back side of Cliff, etc). Good job!

As a long-time Tehachapi fan, it was nice to see the Southern Pacific and Santa Fe as separate entities, again - including the merger paint scheme from the "merger that never happened"........and to see "cabeese" on the tail-ends of many trains.

Main gripe with the DVD was that whoever was responsible for writing the didn't know beans about geographic locations on the mountain. The bridges spanning the crossings of Tehachap Creek ARE NUMBERED FROM CALIENTI............NOT FROM THE TOP OF THE GRADE IN TEHACHAPI!!!

If you like railroading the way it used to be back in the day, then this is a definite must have. This would have to be the best DVD going round on Tehachapi showing a lot of different motive power at work around Tehachapi. It is well shot with many different camera locations never seen before and this is classic WB action. Great sound and the picture quality, i thought was excellent for a show that was shot over 20 years ago. I would definitely say this is a must have for fans of Tehachapi or just western railroading in general. This is one show you will watch time and time again.

This is a nice DVD that's well shot with informative narration. Its always nice to see stuff from the great roads that are now gone, rail fanning the Tehachapi's since the late 1970s I sure miss the SP and Santa Fe and it is still hard to rail fan up there today and not anything red and gray or blue and yellew. This is a must have for any rail buff how like's the trains of the 1980's the way they used to be.
