We take a look at Barnetby, one of Britains hottest spots for freight. Trains from two oil refineries, scheduled iron ore to the steel mills at Scunthorpe, with returning empties, and coal trains, plus passenger trains make for a very busy location. Barnetby also still has impressive stands of semaphore signals, and is one of the last strongholds of class 60's. Next we visit York, with it's arched roof, and finally Doncaster on the electrified West Coast Main Line.

British railroading differs somewhat from North American railroading primarily with the look of the power units and speed of the trains..... especially the commuter /passenger trains. There is no shortage of traffic here, and the trains are very interesting to watch. Beautiful commuter stations are seen as well as very interesting scenery through the region notes. Great video. I think most rail fans will enjoy this one.
