watched this Thursday night and another excellent video from steam train videos lima superpower in the lehigh valley follows nickel plate road 765 operating in Pennsylvania in late august 2015 after operating the excursions in new york state the fort wayne railroad historical society brought the big Berkshire to the key stone state for 2 days of excursions on august 22nd and 23rd named the lehigh valley gorge special running from allentown to pittston these trips operated on the former lehigh valley mainline and latter over Penobscot Mountain to jim thorpe on the reading & northern so these trips would operate on a combination of both norfolk southern and the reading & northern in edition to the reading & northern pacific 425 also appears greeting the 765 with the two locomotives giving whistle salutes there is also footage of the 425 operating over the same route the 765 ran three weeks later on September 13th pulling the greater pittston to jim thorpe like many videos on the 425 there's the inside cab footage and trackside run byes overall this was another great video lots of stack talk with two of the fan favorite excursion steam engines operating today (not sure which video of the three covering the 765 is my favorite) but this will make a great accompany of the other 765 videos made from steam train videos (Berkshire in the alleghenies and erie lackawanna adventure)
