Out of all of the videos I have pruchased from Railroad Video Productions over the years, this one was the ONLY one that was a disapointment. The subject matter A G.G.1 cab ride shot from the firemans side of the locomotive was good. But it was shot in black and white. It also looked as though it was set up in a hurry and simply slopped together. If you like the G.G.1 and want to see more of it. Railroad Video had another G.G.1 production shot in the cab in color that is much better than this one. I would say leave this one on the shelf and buy the other G.G. 1 video. Both cover the same route and destinations but the color one is a much better and well thought out production.
Additional comments:
Narration: No narration.
Would kids enjoy this? I doubt it.
Image quality: A little rough around the edges.
Value: Good value.

Walt Berko is to the video camera what O. Winston Link was to the still camera. A Master of video, Mr. Berko puts you right in the action inside the cab of the train; In this case a G.G. 1 locomotive. You feel as though you are part of the crew as you look out the window on the firemans side. There are no cuts or edits, nor are there any cuts to run bys of the train. Mr. Berko simply turns on the camera the minute the train starts to roll. He also provides points of interest from time to time as does some of the other members of the crew. Truly this is a great video of a wonderful old electric locomotive that would soon be no more. A must have for G.G. 1 and PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD Fans.
Additional comments:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
