After purchasing (and thoroughly enjoying) "Railfanning the West Vol.2" last year, I took the plunge on this one, and am I ever glad that I did. More fantastic footage of the by-gone era, with a great variety of power, particularly as seen in the Sherman Hill-area footage. You'll see a steady-stream of Centennials, GP-9's, GP-30's, and SD-24's (A and B units!). The BN and D&RGW will not disappoint either; with great scenery and featuring lots of elegant passenger train footage. You'll also catch some rare scenes of the Ringling Bros Circus Train in action. Video-quality is very good, with just the right amount of narration. All in all, if enjoy vintage rail-action, you'll be happy with this purchase.
Additional comments:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
Value: Good value.
Recommend? Definitely.
