This video production is not what some may expect as a Railroad video. There is a slightly different format to it. The video is more what you may expect from a Travel Agency that is promoting rail travel somewhere. The general railroad theme of the video is there, but you will be given the impression that the producer is trying to encourage you to go to Alaska to ride the rails. There are cab rides, and ground shots, primarily of the passenger service, but some of freight service as well. The narration is well done, along with some music accompliment. The theme is as much educational as it is railroading. It's a video that you will learn a great deal about Alaska from travel to the geography of the region. And there is plenty of wildlife shown. I've shown this video to non-railfans, and received very good comments about it. I found this video to be very interesting and therefore have given the production of it high marks. It's a welcomed addition to my collection of railroad videos. I'm very pleased with the purchase. Highly recommened to other railfans.
