These are priceless scenes superbly set up and filmed by a master! My one quibble is the trains are in many cases cut short, whether in editing or by Otto himself, trying to save film. Even so, the subject matter and skill of the photographer make this well worth the price.
Additional remarks by kurt e. armbruster: Narration: Just enough. Would kids enjoy this? Maybe. Image quality: Excellent! DVD Value: Excellent Value! Recommend to others? A "Must Have"!

The subject matter was really good if like me you enjoy the E and F units.. But the video was very choppy , going from scene to scene quickly, sometime just a second or so in length.. This really took a lot of the enjoyment of watching the video away.. Not sure if it was the camera work , the quality of the old film or the editing..
Additional remarks by Hal: Narration: A little bit too much. Would kids enjoy this? Maybe. Image quality: Good. DVD Value:: Fair. Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.

The video was full of some rare views. The scenes are short but the quality is excellent for the time period. There is a scene of the hydraulics on Rio Grande and this was a first for me. Lots of Rio Grande in this one and Denver Union Station.....Ottos home. Some scenes are from other Otto Perry films but I can get over that. There is enough new here to make it worth purchasing. Like vintage railroading? Get the video.
Additional remarks by Marshall: Narration: Just enough. Would kids enjoy this? Yes. Image quality: Good. DVD Value: Good Value Recommend to others? Definitely.
