Volume 2 of the North Carolina Rails set covers the former ACL, now CSX, main from Petersburg, VA, to Fayetteville, NC, and beyond. This is a very busy line, with many CSX freights and five Amtrak trains. Action starts on a rainy day in Enfield, NC. Then, we move south to Rocky Mount, and spend some time at the yard, including in the tower. There are a lot of runbys at the station and the north end of the yard. There are even some night scenes. On south to the picturesque small town of Elm City, where CSX keeps the residents on their toes! We conclude at the junction city of Selma, the interchange with NS. It is where Amtrak's Carolinian crosses from CSX to NS for its run west. Running time is about 2 hours. Maps and light narration.
