Experience the thrills of Midwest steam action! C. Vision Productions follows the Milwaukee Road #261 as it pulls three different trains. You will see the 261 as it pulls a portion of the 1998 BNSF Employee Special. This 4-8-4 Northern is also in charge of an Amtrak Special, and a complete Milwaukee Road consist train for the Milwaukee Road Historical Association.

Soo Line #2719 leads a photographers' special on the Wisconsin Great Northern in Spooner, Wisconsin. The train rolls through the western woods in October 2000, when the leaves were vibrant with color!

Sister Soo Line locomotive, #1003 returns to ex-Soo Line tracks on the former Wisconsin Central. We capture the train from Eau Claire to Stevens Point as it heads to Burlington, Wisconsin.

Finally, we see the only operating compound saddle-tank mallet in the United States. The Black Hills Central Railroad in Hill City, South Dakota recently restored this Baldwin to operate the 1880 train. Watch this articulated locomotive negotiate the curves and grades of the beautiful Black Hills!

This 2001 video covers both mainline & tourist line operations from 1998 to 2000. Engines included in this program are: 1. Milwaukee Road 4-8-4 number 261 built by Alco in 1944 on the 1998 BNSF Employee Appreciation special which other video producers like Pentrex for "Steam '98" & Plets Express was also there. 2. Soo Line 4-6-2 number 2719 built by Alco in 1923 on an October 2000 trip on the Wisconsin Great Northern Railway. 3. Soo Line 2-8-2 Mikado number 1003 built by Alco in 1913 on an excursion from Eau Claire to Stevens Point on the Wisconsin Central. & 4. The Black Hills Central Scenic Railroad with Articulated 2-6-6-2 Tank Engine number 110 built by Baldwin in 1928 operating in the Mount Rushmore area from Hill City to Keystone South Dakota. Among the 4 Steam Locomotives that are featured in this recently turned 25 year old title, only 2719 is no longer operating after the 4-6-2 made its final trips in September 2013, & now it is on display at the Lake Superior Railroad Museum in Duluth Minnesota.
