This final volume from the Kantner brothers is a fitting end to the series. Beyond the historical value, thanks are due to the brothers for the footage, obviously well done and cared for over the years-otherwise the results of JPM would be different, if it existed at all. A well done series, every railfan should consider. All are recommended. The minus for this volume is the shorter run time tan the other volumes Kantner Collection Volume 4 DVD Curt Cruthirds (California) on 2018-03-31 07:56:51.

I've quickly become addicted to the John Pechulis releases. First starting with the "Bednar" series, then having a look at the last 2 dvd's in the Kantner Collection. Vol 4 in this series is easily one of the best dvd's I've ever viewed, if you're a fan of fallen flags. Not only does it cover a multitude of railroads from the mid 60's to the early 70's, included fantastic footage of the Reading, Lehigh Valley, EL, the D&H, CNJ, and the Penn Central, but you also get the unassuming, but extremely informative (and entertaining) narration of Big Mike Bednar. The footage continues to be top-notch, given it's origination-date, and the synchronized sounds are spot-on. If you like the fallen flags, trust me, you can't miss with this one! |
