This is a fun , yet educational video. Designed for younger kids, scenes are short, and there is plenty of variety including animals from the farm and the zoo. Farm, construction and logging equipment are all included from antiques to modern day. And we have to include the model railroad scenes.... excellent. I purchased 2 copies at the same time.... one for my wife's grandson and one for my own video library. No disappointments here. In this 2012 DVD, Kevin kryston talks about all types of tractors. Which includes utility tractors, row crop tractors, the 9000 series tractors, and a song about johnny poppers with Jim Coffey singing. After that, Kevin talks about farms, field cultivators, and fuel consumptions. Next it's part 1 of the pumpkin patch. Which includes the vintage 730 tractor made in 1958. Cultivating soil and weeds, and also a Jim Coffey song simple life with some vintage films. Crops need water and sunlight to make seeds grow faster. There is also an educational segment on the green star system. After that Jim Coffey sings and plays the name game with the animals. Next Kevin talks about the 1939 BI which was the first JD machine that was used for construction only. And also see different types of dirt monsters that JD made. Plus a song of John Deere heaven with MTH toy trains, ERTL tractors, and other custom made and scratch built houses and farms. With custom painted animals. Next it's time for part 2 of the pumpkin patch. Which includes a wagon ride, and children picking up the pumpkins in the patch. With a lone ranger inspired theme song, and washing the pumpkins. Next, Jim Coffey sings watch those tractors get er done. After that, Jim also sings before you know it you build something. Wow 2 Jim Coffey songs in a row. Next we play a real or toy game. Also Kevin talks about how trains play a big role in John Deere transportation with special toy trains made by lionel and MTH that were shot on the original TMBV studio layouts that were used for the original I Love Toy Trains video series with Jim Coffey singing when John Deere is riding the rails. Finally Kevin talks about harvest time with some vintage films. Where are the silly Otto segments? Well they were shown as a bonus feature. |
