I absolutely love this DVD. Short of getting an actual cab ride in 765 over the mainline (kudos to those that volunteer with the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society these days and put in the hard work and long hours to be able to do this in real life), this is a fantastic way to get to spend time in the cab of the locomotive. The sights and sounds make it feel as though you're actually there with the crew as they battle through the New River Gorge. I enjoy putting this DVD in and just listening and taking it all in as I do. Who knows, maybe one day I'll get that cab ride...

Made on tape only in 1990, this program documents the route of the original steam powered trips until Norfolk Southern & CSX say goodbye forever to the Steam Specials at the end of 1994. It's no Wonder why 765 has been one of the most popular engines on the Huntington to Hinton Diesel Only line.
