An interesting assortment of locations in the Conrail system. Lots of trains and various power. A few locations not really cosidered to be hotspots for Conrail, but adds to the variety in the movie. For the railfan who wants to travel to various locations, all can be covered within a few days to a week. This adds to the movie because if you follow the locations on a map, you will enjoy the movie even more. Nothing is that far appart time wise. I enjoyed it to the point where I actually made a trip earlier this year to Northwestern Ohio and was not disappointed. conrail hot spots west is the only hot spots video I own (it was on a special sale so I picked this one over the east one) this video shot by pentrex in 1996 follows the conrail system in the Midwest in the states of ohio Indiana and Illinois there's also appearances buy other railroads Norfolk southern csx union pacific grand trunk (with some units from Canadian national) western Illinois central and Amtrak trains are also identified buy there symbols where they're going it's nice to have a look back to the days when big blue was still in operation conrail fans don't want to miss this production as it'll be a favorite for fans of big blue | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
