This program features trains at the Rochelle diamonds where the C&NW (now UP) doubletrack crosses over the CB&Q (later BN and now BNSF) doubletrack at grade over a period of 2 days. As with the other Hot Spots that Highball Productions has produced, the narration is infrequent with only bits of narration throughout the program and there are NO time stamps for each train that goes through unlike Greg Scholl's and Pentrex's counterparts (Rochelle Double Track Diamonds and Sunrise/Sunset 2 respectively). The only thing that this program stands out from the others is that 3 UP Heritage Units are featured on the 2nd day: the Katy and MoPac units show up on one train and the C&NW unit shows up on another train though obscured due to a meet.

Additional remarks by Nikhil Murthy:
Narration: Could have used more.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value:: Fair.
Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.

Just watched, all three Rochelle, Illinois programs, I have. This program shot around June, 2007, ranks second. This program definitely, has the most trains. It probably has as many as the Pentrex and Gred Scholl programs, combined. There are many SD40-2 seen, many ex. C&NW, but only three Trains have SD90Mac's., Two leading and One DPU at the rear of a coal train. This program is about 75% UP. Many SD70M's and GE Widecabs are seen, with a Few SD70Ace's. The BNSF is nearly all GE Widecabs, with a few Cascade Green SD40-2's seen. If quantity is what you want, this is your program. The widescreen format is a plus for this program and it's 100 minute runtime. Fun to watch

Additional remarks by Charley Mann:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Excellent!
DVD Value: Excellent Value!
Recommend to others? Definitely.

Rochelle Illinois... rail fan hot spot is what this town is. I have made the 2,100 km trip to Rochelle to spend time at the Rail Fan Park. Double diamonds for both the BNSF & UP, although BNSF is only a 11 km long passing lane while UP is double track totally. This video shows how great the action is. However, the producer does not use screen graphics to provide us with information like the time of day, and the narration is also poor. Still... a decent video.
