I bought this one as a departure from my steady diet of railfan videos.....and LOVED it. It brought back great memories of life in smaller towns and small farms. Quality is quite good, although I wish it had been done in 4:3 format (truer to the original) instead of processed into widescreen.

This video covers the 1940s, and shows equipment designed at the very beginning of the "combine" era for harvesting rice, wheat, and the like.

The video should interest a broader audience than its title suggests--it's not just for farmers and tractor enthusiasts. I'll be back to acquire others in the series.

Farmall Classic Films-The Forties is an interesting look at vintage films covering not just International Harvester, but farming in the '40's. It shows what modern farming was not long after the mule, plus the important roll farming played during WWII. It also covers land use issues of the decade and how they were solved. As the title states, these are classic films produced in the 40's that have been digitized.

A trip back in time to witness everyday work on these agricultural farms are very decent to see, as well as a variety of power which have since been retired, displayed, sold to museums, and sadly gone for scrap. Overall, good compilation of these vintage films, decent tractors, and fine music with informative narration as these company films will take you back way before the internet, social media, and also online shopping.
