In the 1940's, Rocky Mountain Railroad Club member, Otto Perry and railroad photographer Woodrow Gorman captured the last remains of the once vast Colorado & Southern Narrow Gauge System on film. Scenes on the dramatic Clear Creed Line cover the Idaho Springs and Blackhawk/Central branches. Current footage of the rebuilt Georgetown Loop is included and vintage photos add another dimension to this program. The last remnanat of the South Park Line from Leadville to Climax is shown just prior to standard gauging.

Great video. I was very happy to have dubbed sounds on the DVD. I really enjoy Colorado narrow gauge, and it was great to see old movies of these narrow gauge railroads in actual revenue (non-passenger) service!

Additional remarks by Allamuchy Joe:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value: Good Value
Recommend to others? Definitely.

I like how life on the Colorado & Southern looked like; a narrow gauge railroad through river canyons and cliffs would have been like a river-bound railroad. But I hate the scrap-train when they tore the lines away.
