In this spectacular video, Green Frog photographer Rich Kugel takes us on an exciting journey along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and then across the vast expanse of the Great Plains. This region is famous for beautiful western scenery, endless vistas, and spectacular railroad action!

We begin at the Joint Line in Colorado and then move north to Wyoming for a visit to Cheyenne, Archer's Curve, and Sherman Hill. Then it's on to Nebraska for a look at operations on BNSF's Crawford Hill and the sprawling yard in Alliance.

We end our tour with a salute to the Union Pacific as we follow their legendary Central Corridor from Gibbon Junction to North Platte, Nebraska. This incredible line is the world's busiest freight railroad and boasts a triple track mainline seeing over 160 trains a day!

The traffic density on this astounding "Colossus of Roads" rivals a commuter operation at rush hour with double and even triple meets being almost commonplace!

Over all, I found this video to be fairly good. Several different locations in the US west, Colorado, Wyoming, and Nebraska. I think the narration could have been more informative on some of the locations, and what is there tends to over ride the natural sounds of the trains. This video is in the format of being more of a preview video verses an on location type of video. The presentation of the scenery of the regions noted is well done as is the operations of the railroads.
My kids did not take the interest in this video like they have with other Green Frog productions, but I personally found it to be interesting enough that I would recommend it.
