Conrail's Chicago Line, Vol. # 2 starts at Selkirk Yard in Albany and travels west to Syracuse New York. The Mohawk River Valley is a spectacular region to see. This video does a good job covering the territory. It does follow a similar format to Vol. # 1, being that it is primarily mainline action with very little at the yards along the way. There is plenty of of action, lots of power variety, and a nice assortment of foreign power. CNR makes several appearances through out the video along with a SSW and Southern Pacific. The narration is somewhat limited and like Vol. # 1, Amtrak makes several appearances and the narrator says very little about Amtrak. Considering that this is a main thoroughfare for Amtrak to and from New York city to places like Buffalo, Chicago and Toronto Ontario, I found this somewhat surprising.
Overall, I liked the video, more so than Vol. # 1, and am not disappointed in the purchase. It's a great region for trains and there is plenty of good rail fanning locations which the producer does show.
