Berea, OH, was host to two great railroads. The New York Central's water level route ran alongside the Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago & St. Louis, the Big 4. They interchanged and the major interlocking was controlled by Berea Tower. Both lines were very busy. The CCC&SL ultimately was taken over by the Central. The lines went through PC and Conrail. Chester Kamuda spent a day video taping in the CR era. Today, the NYC line is under NS and the Big 4 is operated by CSX. It is a great railfanning location with lots of traffic. 110 minutes - Maps - Narration Copyright 2013 A&R Systems, Inc.
