This is a good documentation of the pre-Superliner AutoTrain in the 1990s. The video quality is typical of Pentrex of that period: good for VHS (which I previously owned), and definitely improved in the DVD transfer reissue. There's some nice cab footage, could use more ground views and also more coverage of the train's interior. The narration is informative, occasionally gets a little cutesy, and the patron interviews could have been shorter. But overall an enjoyable video that I'm glad to have.
Additional comments:
Narration: A little too much.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
Value: Good value.

The Auto Train. a fantastic idea to take automobiles off the highways on the longer distance travel along the eastern seaboard. This has to be the most interesting train on the Amtrak system. The video shows the loading and unloading of the automobiles. Included is a cab ride and scenes from trackside. The video viewer learns about this amaizing system from start to finish. Top marks for a great presentation.

As a rarely droven passenger on Amtrak myself, this 1994 program is educational and informative. Yet even to this day, it is still quite popular for vacation goes as they want to save their own cars and trucks' life without using all of i-95.
