This 2011 Program showcases a variety of steam on the former Rio Grande Narrow Gauge Silverton Branch located on the Western end of the railroad’s 4th division including 486 & 478 at the Durango Depot area passing by a since overhauled McDonald’s location & one of the Railroad’s Center Cab diesels that was used for yard work only before the Former White Pass & Yukon Diesels came to Colorado following the disastrous Wildfire in 2018, as well as 478 on a fall photo special, plus 486 on the service train, not to mention 478 Double-heading with 481 on another day before the K-36 has some engine troubles & was removed at Rockwood, & 478 on the Cascade Canyon Winter train that also includes riding footage through the snow from onboard.

All in all, Peter Crook did a decent job narrating this program

A bit disappointing. The scenery is fantastically beautiful. The snow scenes are unique among movies of this route I have seen. However, when I checked the box "needs more narrative" I mean a LOT more narrative. The presentation, IMO, was a bit disjointed and sometimes disorienting and without a "story line". I often couldn't tell in which direction a train was going, to Durango or to Silverton. Also a number of triple consecutive runs of the same scene, just different camera angles. Trying to show something unique for this often photographed subject is a difficult thing to do, I'm sure, but here Highball has largely succeeded, especially with the snow scenes. Still it's a "keeper" because of the scenery.
