This fourth installment of the "Anthracite Railroads" series focuses exclusively on the Reading railroad. The upgrade and transfer of the 8mm film originally shot, is very well-done, with the resulting quality being top-notch, considering it's age. A variety of locations are featured, and with "Big Mike" Bednar's narration and knowledge of train-symbols, it really adds to this release. Lots of Reading EMD power, Alco switchers, and some GE units are shown. Although freight trains dominate, a nice feature is the footage of the Budd (RDC) commuter cars, along with several passenger trains. Overall, this is another excellent release, and is highly recommended to those of us who enjoy the fallen flags.
