For generations of Americans, Atlantic City is more than a place---it is a moment in time. The summers on the beach, the strolls along the Boardwalk and, of course, the trolleys.
From Ocean City to the Steel Pier and back again, the trolleys that circled Atlantic City were an exuberant expression of life in this, the queen of all resort towns.
Atlantic City Trolley Days is a 40-minute tour that literally covers the waterfront---from the Maine Avenue car barns to the Shore Fast Line. Along the way you'll see plenty of fascinating traction operations, including the car barn, fan trips, and snowy winter work, plus a variety of cars used during the system's last years. Atlantic City's Trolleys is painstakingly researched and brimming with rare archival footage.
It's Atlantic City the way you always remembered it.

Want to take a trip back in time to when Atlantic City was a vibrant metropolis sans casinos and a highly efficient electric transit line? Then this video is for you!
This has to be one of the best produced transit videos in existence. It is a full-featured program put into a historical context with vintage footage taken mostly during 1953.
This video literally takes you on a tour from the Inlet to Longport. Not only do you see the trolleys, but you also get a very good glimpse of the cityscape of AC, with closeups of its unique architecture, hotels and other unique structures.
I can't praise this video enough. I have watched it over and over again. The opening is fun to watch - trolleys set to doo-wop music.
Get it..you won't be disappointed.
