Nickel Plate Road 765 is one of the most popular steam locomotives in the modern era. Since 1979, the Fort Wayne Railroad Historical Society has been maintaining the engine for excursion duties and at one time, 765 was used for the New River Gorge trips in West Virginia. In this video however, she pulled trains on the 21st Century Steam Program which sadly ended in October 2015. 2 auxiliary water cars were former Norfolk and Western which belonged to class A 1218 and later class J 611. New Haven, Indiana is home for NKP 765 and on occasion, she is now being used for Indiana Rail Experience trips which is featured in other videos.

Shot Over a 6 Year span this program features 765 on various trips such as the 2009 & 2011 flashback at the Hoosier Valley Railroad museum, plus 2012 action of 765 return trip From Decatur, IL to Ft. Wayne/New Haven, IN & recently Shot in July 2015 as a majority of this program. 2 thumbs? No make that 765 thumbs up to Les Jarrett For brilliant footage, editing and narration.
