This 2006/2007 Program was the very first all widescreen steam video where viewers can experience more detail in familiar scenes. Shot in May of 2006 (Amtrak's 35th Birthday), it features special one way trips on May 1-3, plus the 19th-21 round trip excursions which includes a stop for the make a wish foundation kids who wanted to ride a steam train one last time before their deaths. Pretty sad huh? We also saw some unique pacing action of the locomotive and conclude the show with 2816 backing into the abandoned steam shops. However, the scenery is peaceful, 2816 performed flawlessly, and a marvelous job to Les Jarrett for the brilliant footage & editing. Although, some people who know Les and have been purchasing his programs over the years, there are different narrators over the years, such as Eric Greene(1987-2000), Les Jarrett(1996-2007, 2011-Present), Lane Venardos(2007-2011), and for a short while in 2006 & 2007 only some guy named Patrick Reiber narrated some early widescreen videos. The reason? His voice and his way of talking was way to fast, and people can't understand what he's saying. Overall, despite is still available on This format(DVD), and on the go digital download for Amazon Prime members only, I would say go grab it and watch it.
