I bought this one because I am a Alco fan. And it didnt disapoint me. I think this Dvd is a good bargain and very interesting. The only thing I think was a bit annoying was that the commentator did some repeating of his comments. Tribute to the Green Bay & Western Railroad Vol 1 DVD Rail Buff (Southern CA) on 2017-08-30 16:47:11.
This is a Blue Ray which is not a Blue Ray. All photos/videos were taken circa 1993 or earlier. Thus the crisp images one expects from a Blue Ray are absent. Sound was OK but nothing to celebrate. Lots of runbys from one end of GBW's 255 essentially straight line route across Wisconsin to the other. Became boring. Did show some mineral mining and loading which was interesting but not enough to salvage this disc from the public library which is its next stop. Besides, Pletz has shown much more of mining sequences in other videos. I should have been tipped off by the word "Tribute" in the title. This review is essentially the same as for Volume 2. |
