Fall 2014 still saw a handful of 2-10-0s and narrow gauge steam survivors. Here you will join the crew for two rides aboard the "Kriegsloks", which had seen 70 years of rugged service - and one was being rebuilt. Sand helps the frequently slipping drivers to grip the rails as 2,000 tons of coal are moved. Semaphores and a 1930s-style signal tower complete the scene! Regular EMD diesels and electrics are also seen. Go for a diesel ride on a busy coal narrow gauge. Here also an 0-6-0 steam-er puts on quite a show with long cuts of coal cars at the unloader.
