I'm a long-time fan of 7idea, and this one certainly was not a disappointment. Filmed over a number of years, dating back to 2011, this features not only scenic footage of Union Pacific freights battling the harsh weather in the Sierra's, but more importantly, the snow-fighting equipment that is used to keep them rolling. Aaron held nothing back in capturing this footage, hiking in with snowshoes, into remote areas, and often being pelted with snow coming off of the Rotaries! This one continues a long line of excellent dvd's, and is a example of why 7idea leads the pack for railfan dvd's! Brrrrrr..watch this one on a hot day and it will cool you off! Lots of trains here along with a variety of snow fighting equipment and techniques. Listen to the narration and you'll get a history lesson too! Seeing Norden as it exists today was a treat-in better shape than I expected. 4 seasons in the making it took rugged people and tough equipment-but it was definitely worth it.
