Erie-Lackawanna's final years, Ohio to Chicago. Begins with a 1968 can ride aboard the "Lake Cities", Youngstown to Marion. During 1974-1976, we progress station by station toward Chicago, viewing E-Units on freight, towers, traffic of intersecting line, semaphores and more. Closing scenes depict E-L's Last Weekend, capped off with a funeral train - a roundup of surplus Alco switchers.
