This is a capsule in time of a very dynamic rail system. This railroad was formed from the ashes of the old Rutland Railway, and now has all of the Rutland trackage that still exists in operation. When this video was shot, the Vermont Railway, Green Mountain Railroad, and the Clarendon and Pittsford Railroad had just formed the Vermont Rail System. The VRS is still growing with new trackage and lines to run. There is plenty of room for a Volume 2.
The videography is excellent as is the narration, no little snide comments, just good useful facts.
