This is actually three subs, the Little Rock, White Bluff and Pine Bluff subs. Directional running through the pine trees of Arkansas, between Texarkana and Little Rock, Little Rock and Pine Bluff and Pine Bluff and Texarkana. Lots of older power and a number of depots still standing. I caught the Little Rock & Western with its C420's at Little Rock Union Station, and got permission to be in the yard at Pine Bluff. For the third time in my career, I got two trains coming at me side by side! BNSF has trackage rights over both the Little Rock sub and the Pine Bluff sub. Taped in fall, 1999.

I agree with other review, Great variety, some really good GE Dash 7 footage, which is kinda hard to come by. This program does however, have technical issues, with the image skipping, about every two to three minutes. I had this producer send me two additional copies, only to have the same issue with each. With two players, it's easy to tell, the problem is with the Software or duplicator. The program is still watchable, if you can live with this issue.

Additional remarks by Charley Mann:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value:: Fair.
Recommend to others? Not unless they REALLY were interested in the subject matter.

A great DVD covering a rarely seen portion of the Union Pacific empire. The motive power variety in this production is spectacular. You will see everything from Dash 7s to AC44CWs and GP60s to SD90MACs along with ALCOs from the Little Rock & Western. Many unpatched units are seen in Rio Grande, Southern Pacific, Cotton Belt, and Chicago & Northwestern liveries. You briefly see yard action in Pine Bluff and Little Rock, Arkansas as well. Narration and maps could have been better and train IDs are not shown or discussed. The camera work is really good with a few minor exceptions. You will definitely enjoy this Highball Production.

Additional remarks by Charles Burgess:
Narration: Could have used more.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.
Image quality: Good.
DVD Value: Good Value
Recommend to others? Definitely.

Another good video to see. Lots of train action with the UP and BNSF using trackage rights. I enjoy seeing the older buildings that we see in this video. The scenery is also interesting to see . Enjoy seeing the older power units still in active use.
