Union Pacifics Cornhusker Mainline
The Council Bluffs Subdivision of the Union Pacific Railroad is the busiest main line in North America. It is also home to the largest railroad classification yard in the world!
C. Vision tours a portion of the Sub starting at Bailey Yard in North Platte, Nebraska. From there we move east along the line, viewing many runbys through the Sandhills region, and onto the vast cornfields of Nebraska.
The video concludes in Grand Island at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe's flyover. There, we view movement on both the Union Pacific and the BNSF Ravenna Subdivision, which moves mostly Wyoming coal.
Lots of modern power from EMD SD 40-2's, SD 90-43's and GE Dash 9-60AC's are seen in charge of the fast freight on the Council Bluffs Subdivision.
