We begin our railroad journey in Illinois, where Illinois Central trains encounter a tunnel at East Dubuque. Then we head to Joliet to view fast mainline action on the old Santa Fe. Metra trains also pass two towers still standing today!
Electric traction locomotives on the Iowa Traction are featured, along with I&M Rail Link trains before the IMRL was purchased. In Wisconsin, Canadian Pacific trains encounter the tunnel at Tunnel City. We also revisit the Marshall Subdivision of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe.
Many special movements are captured in this video including a Light Rail Special in the Twin Cities. C. Vision cameras were also on hand to document an Operation Lifesaver Special on the BNSF. Regional railroads Twin Cities & Western and Dakota Minnesota & Eastern also appear running special trains.

Another great production by C-Vision. And what a start to this video. The tunnel at East Dubuque starts this video, and it gets better from there. Basically, a video of shorten versions of full length videos which gives the viewer a nice taste to what is some really great railroad action in America's Mid-west. Areas in Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Featured are the IC, CPR, BNSF, Metra, I & M Rail Link, etc... and a special appearance of the Iowa Traction Line with it's small little electrics hard at work. Shortlines and Class 1's both make a fine appearance. Like most C-Vision Productions, this video has limited narration, and we are treated to the sounds of the action of the rails and surroundings. Then there is previews after the feature presentation showing the viewer some other great productions. A great video that is well worth the cost, and will be enjoyed for years to come.
