After completing his two-mile live steam 7-1/2" gauge outdoor railroad on his 20 acre Oregon farm, master modeler Tom Miller decided to build an F-scale narrow gauge indoor layout based on a
Colorado/New Mexico theme.
"I decided to approach it like theater ... build very realistic scenery and have the trains, as actors, move among the sets, just like real life." The result, after five years of "near obsession," is a 45 x 90 foot layout of staggering detail where everything works ... scenery, buildings, lighting, sound, and, of course, steam trains authentic down to the last details.
