Modern railroading in the late twenty teens into 2020, Class One railroads were well supplied with a plethora of modern GE locomotives for use on their main line trains. This is especially true for the BNSF. However, along the Staples Sub in Minnesota, where C. Vision is based, BNSF ran several trains with older EMD's on occasion. With footage from 2019 to 2020, we follow eastbound trains led with these classics from Philbrook to Coon Rapids, Minnesota. We even get a chance to see some rarities from the mid 20 teens. A huge variety of 4 and 6 axle EMD's can be seen on both local and road freights. Other trains that used these locomotives are grain and oil trains. Santa Fe and Burlington Northern colors still adorned several locomotives while many are now dressed in new BNSF black and orange. Plenty of foreign power found its way on BNSF trains, including a surviving CSX SD50-2! Some of the 4 axle models we see are GP38-2's, GP39-3's, GP50's, GP60's, GP60M-3's just to name a few. 6 axle models include SD40-2's, SD60M's, SD70MAC's, SD70MACe's, SD75i's and more!
Most of these locomotives are on borrowed time, so capturing these now was a must. Over two hours of great EMD entertainment is here in Staples Sub EMDs, Volume 2!
