Starting in Huron see the RCP&E trains traveling west across the South Dakota Prairie and along the Missouri River to Pierre. The train action then continues across the Badlands to Rapid City and over the Black Hills to Belle Fourche. See the Ellison & Eastern as their exciting first generation diesels and SW switchers are seen working the industries in and around the Sioux Falls Metro. See the DAIR loading aggregates at Dell Rapids and pulling long heavy hopper trains going south along and over the scenic big Sioux River. The DSRC is seen switching at the Chamberlaine South Dakota yard along with a few freight trains out of Mitchell that travel west across the scenic Northern Plains of Central South Dakota. These fascinating shortlines use historic trackage that was once part of the Milwaukie Road, Chicago and Northwestern and Great Northern Railways.
