In 1990, Pentrex visited one of America's finest HO Scale model railroads, the "Sierra Pacific Lines" of the Pasadena (California) Model Railroad Club. The "Sierra Pacific Lines" is immense. The railroad occupies a 5000-square-foot room. Thirty thousand feet of code 100 steel rail has been laid on 500,000 crossties totaling over 10,000 feet of hand-laid track. Twenty-seven people are needed to operate the railroad including ten cab operators.
