Rhythm Rails - A Railroad Music Video
"Sing me a Song of the Rails" was part of a 1949 MONON film, one of the 36 pieces presented in this unique collection (See enclosed Index sheet). Some titles will be familiar ("City of New Orleans" and "Chattanooga Choo Choo), while others will be discoveries. Musicians performing on board present a special treat. There are montage segments, setting up parades of Bicentennial Diesels and Trains of History. The mood shifts from meditative to celebratory, an adagio to accent a winter journey and rapid staccato depicting high speed steam. A great background video, non-railroaders too will be drawn into the mosaic of colors and styles as trains wheel by. Prepare to have some fun - and you may find yourself singing along!
