Join C. Vision Productions as we tour a portion of the old Soo Line in the Land of 10,000 Lakes! The Paynesville Subdivision, operated by the Canadian Pacific, runs through the rolling prairies and farm fields of central Minnesota from Glenwood to Minneapolis.

This single track main line hosts a constant parade of trains that move between Canada and Chicago. Many different types of freight including intermodal, potash, sulfur, glycol and grain are moved by elder SD-40 dash 2's and cowled SD-40 dash 2F's. You will also see newer locomotives leading trains such as the GE AC4400's and EMD SD-90 dash 43's. Original Soo Line power is also captured in many scenes!

The Paynesville Sub is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Many curves and small grades are encountered on this 122-mile line, along with several bridges and overpasses. From the heat of summer to the chill of winter, this show documents railroading at its best through the rolling prairies of Minnesota!

Another great C-Vision production. Better yet if You are a Canadian Pacific Rail fan. Minnesota is a diverse state for scenery, and this video shows us some of the big city of Minneapolis and the open agricultural district towards Glenwood, with a few surprises along the way. Typical to C-Vision style, the scenes are in various seasons, with high horsepower mainliners bound to and from Canada, newer and older power with some SOO units still operating, and as always... some locals in operation. Some added features is trains crossing high bridges over waterways that I really enjoyed. Narration is limited to the point of the scene with the natural sounds highlighting when possible. My kids also enjoyed this video, but that could be because we are Canadian Pacific fans. (they are kids). There is plenty of great railroad action for all train fans of any railroad. Another 5 star production. Well done.
Additional comments:
Narration: Just enough.
