Providence & Worcester Coal Trains on the D&H DVD Click to enlargeNote: Cover image may differ from actual product In early 2006, the Providence and Worcester Railroad , already proven to be an innovator in the Northeast, took another step forward. This time, with the cooperation of four other railroads, the P&W moved seven trains of coal from the port of Providence to a power plant located west of Binghamton, NY. The trains sported P&W power as far as Binghamton. This program shows these trains on the south end of the D&H, where a combination of challenging grades and classic D&H architecture provide a wonderful backdrop! Also included are many of the other trains that operated on these days. |
