Previews - they're a perfect way to see the kind of quality work Pentrex has made in the past or recently - and oh, how I would kill to have so many of the different titles they feature on this Previews DVD. I hate it when teasers like that tease me.

If you're curious as to what Pentrex produces, or can't decide on what you want, or... whatever, then DVD is just for you. 43 different titles to choose from, and all sound great to watch. And with a low price, can't be beat. ;)
Additional comments:
Narration: Just enough.
Would kids enjoy this? Maybe.

Having purchased a couple of American Railroad DVDs previously, and enjoyed a great deal, I thought I would purchase one of these Pentrex samplers.
What a super buy! Over 2 hours of every type of U.S. train imaginable, from every type of location, in sharp detail.
I have holidayed in the U.S. (mainly the Rockies), many times, and the scenery on these clips brings back wonderful memories.
The DVD is a Pot-Pourri of American railroading, with just enough of each section to inform, marvel and enjoy.
Volume 2 is on my Christmas list!!

I, too, enjoyed the awesome variety in this DVD. I also have Previews Volume II, which is also good.

I look to these video previews for my future Pentrex Purchases.

Previews: Short segments of videos that are meant to give us an idea of what maybe of future interest. With 43 video clips, this video is just that. From the 1950's to present day, Steam and Diesels, California to Powder River to Virginia. In cab, from the ground or from the air. Name your interest, and you will likely find it on this Preview video. Personally, I'm a diesel fan, yet I found a couple of steam videos that is interesting enough that they are now on my list to be added to my collection.
My wife asked me "why do you enjoy Preview movies?", and I gave a couple reasons but stated that it is also the "variety". There is plenty of that, 2 1/2 hours worth. She watched it for a while and even though she is not a real train fan, she did see some quote "gift ideas". The best part of all is the price. It's a low investment for a lot of enjoyment.
It's a video production well worth the purchase. No disappointment here.

If you can't afford to watch videos on youtube or pay the big prices of the full-length show on either VHS or DVD, here are some samples of what you'll get from Southern California's Most Popular railroad video company.
