With footage captured between 1990 and 1992, Powder River Power takes you on a journey from Donkey Creek Junction, Wyoming to Ravenna, Nebraska on the Burlington Northern Railroad. This Ex-Chicago, Burlington and Quincy line hauls mostly Wyoming Powder River Basin Coal, along with intermodal and general freights. In Wyoming, the tracks run along the western slopes of the Black Hills through Newcastle. The line reaches the southwestern corner of South Dakota before encountering the famous Crawford Hill in northwest Nebraska. The tracks continue through the sandhills region of west central Nebraska. C-30 dash 7's, U-30C's, SD-40 dash 2's and LMX B-39 dash 8's, along with Burlington Northern's new SD-60M's and leased Oakway SD-60's put on an awesome show in this presentation.
