Few American cars could match the beauty, styling and engineering of the Packard motor car. From its birthplace in Warren, Ohio in 1899 to its final days in Detroit, Michigan and South Bend, Indiana in the late '50s, this program chronicles the history of the Packard automobile through interviews with Packard owners, vintage film, and Packard archive photographs.

An excellent gift for my dad on Father's Day. He worked for a Packard dealership until they closed and still owns an original 1956 Packard Clipper. The video was very well done. Color was very good. I was a little surprised that the additional footage played automatically at the end of the end of the credits without going back to the menu.
"The General" is in my dad's car club in dayton ohio. The owner from New Jersy has a nice collection too. I will have to look him up for a tour.

Better than expected. naturally wish for a much longer story and in hi def . Just imagine seeing packards in motion in all their beauty in hi def. I helped drive my cousin's 52 packard powder blue convertible from danbury ct to niagara falls and back the summer of 53 -- a glorious time. Then drive my aunt's 55 clipper with the new, hot v8 and the fantastic torsion bar suspension and levelizer system...this needs to be really talked about much, much more it was so great. Let's see packard aficionados come up with what they think packards should look like for today.
