Northwest Shortline & Regional Railroads Volume 2 Idaho Washington DVD
Featuring: Pend Oreille Valley Railroad & St. Maries River Railroad
See two exciting Northwest shortlines in the scenic states of Idaho and Washington as they travel through tall pine forests, climb steep mountain grades, cross massive trestles, tall bridges and wind along majestic rivers. The St. Maries River Railroad operates one of the last segments of former Milwaukee Road trackage in Idaho and even uses ex-Milwaukee Road GP9's and SW1200's. See the STMA switch the St. Maries lumber mills and haul heavy lumber trains to a Union Pacific connection at Plummer. The Pend Oreille Valley Railroad also handles forest products and is based out of Usk, Washington on ex-Milwaukee Road trackage. Plus ex-Great Northern Ry trackage from Newport, WA to a connection with the BNSF at Sandpoint, ID. This line travels along the scenic mountain valley of the Pend Oreille River. POVA diesel power consists of ex-Illinois Central GP-10s. Also the famous Idaho railroad hotspot of Sandpoint with train action of the BNSF and UP. Rail footage era 2017 from the camera of Bradley A. Plets.
