Norfolk Southern honored its predecessor railroads during its 30th anniversary in 2012, by painting 20 new locomotives in commemorative authentic schemes of those particular railroads.
With the designs created by Andrew Fletcher, Norfolk Southern employees in Altoona, Pennsylvania and Chattanooga, Tennessee painted the GE ES44AC locomotives, while the EMD SD-70ACe units were painted at Progress Rail Services' facility in Muncie, Indiana. The heritage locomotives are now hauling freight across Norfolk Southern's 20,000-mile, 22-state network and beyond. In this volume, we capture 10 of the 20 locomotives, which include The Reading...Monongahela...Wabash...Norfolk Southern...Virginian...Savannah & Atlanta...Nickel Plate Road...Lackawanna...Interstate...and the Southern. Also included is a commemorative locomotive painted to honor our Veterans.
Remembering its heritage is something Norfolk Southern should be proud of. These classy locomotives not only look great, but they also bring back the memories of the railroads that once plied the rails in the eastern U.S.

like the other review this was my first c vision video (it was at my train show it was in 2017 and it's always there) this program shows a few of norfolk southerns heritage units that were presented in 2012 to celebrate they're 30th anniversary about some of the ones in this video are my favorite which include the southern the wabash the reading and the interstate i also really like the veterans unit 6920 (they've also made another comparative locomotive to honner our first responders) diffidently liked this one (i also have the second vol and two other's a tribute to the soo line and midwest classic steam featuring Milwaukee road 261 soo line 1003 and 2719 and black hills central railroad 110 whcih i not on trainvideodepot i should by more from c vision they're good)

Really enjoyed this, this was my first video from C Vision most of what I've owned before this was Pentrex stuff. Will really need to get more from C Vision now...I was really blown away by the video quality, sound and production. Narration was great too, just enough information given. Really enjoyed the varied locations and settings especially some of the nighttime, dusk and dawn shots not seen much from Pentrex stuff.

Great DVD a must for any collection. Alot of great footage in fantastic locations and different weather. Gives you a run down on each railroad that was painted. One of the best dvds ive seen around.
