Climb aboard the cab of a New England Central GP-38 diesel engine for a "Head-End" ride through the picturesque Connecticut countryside from New London to Willimantic. We begin at Amtrak's Union Station at New London and continue north on the former Central Vermont Railroad through Montville, Thamesville, Norwich, Yantic, Franklin, Lebanon and South Windham before arriving at Willimantic. This program was taped during the peak of the fall foliage season in October, 1996. Narration is provided referring to locations, speed and other interesting facts.
