Miracle at San Diego
There are many cities in the US with little used freight railroads that could be put to good use reducing highway traffic congestion, it could be done with little money. Ideally the lines would be electrified, and conventional technology could keep the cost low. Instead elaborate new systems with exotic and impractical technology are usually proposed. But good sense as described above did prevail in one very important place and it worked better than anyone expected, which is why it is here referred to as a “Miracle”. This program completely covers the second line built, the picturesque East Line as it existed in early 1990. The program was photographed n sunny weather and has many run past sequences in addition to a full cab ride.
